About Nicole Piering
Nicole Piering is a contributing writer for NYCountry Swag.
Nicole grew up on Long Island, saying that she liked "all types of music, except country." That all changed when she randomly attended a Rascal Flatts concert at Madison Square Garden in 2007 and was immediately hooked. She'd argue that she became a country fan before country was cool, traveling around the tri-state area (and sometimes further) to attend country shows before artists started making NYC a tour stop. In addition to her love of country music, Nicole loves all things Disney-related. You can find her on Instagram at @NicolePiering.

The song starts with a […]
For the better part of two decades, Little Big Town has been country music’s reigning super-group. Combining four distinctly powerful voices into one ethereal harmony has long been their piece de resistance. Nowhere is this more evident than on their ninth studio album, Nightfall, out today (Jan. 17). The thirteen-track collection is an epic series […]
When it comes to country music, there are singers and then there are SINGERS. Ronnie Dunn is the latter. As the front-man of Brooks and Dunn, the golden-voiced vocalist has become known as one of country music’s best and most recognizable voices. With a handful of solo projects behind him, Dunn went back to the […]
In preparation for the Valentine’s Day release of her self-titled sophomore album, Carly Pearce has dropped a new song today (1/3), entitled “Call Me.” Written by the late busbee, Emily Shackleton, and Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook, the track is a fun up-tempo, sure to provide the perfect soundtrack to any girl’s […]
In preparation for the January release of their ninth studio album, Nightfall, Little Big Town has released a new track, “Sugar Coat,” today. With a theatrical and orchestral feel, the Karen Fairchild-led ballad tells the sad tale of a woman caught in a loveless marriage, while keeping up appearances. Written by Josh Kerr, Jordyn Shellhart, […]
When Lady Antebellum released “What If I Never Get Over You” as the first single off their then-untitled new album, it was clear that something had shifted within the group’s sound and dynamic. Gone were the horns and funky beats of recent releases. In the place of gimmicks and trend-chasing were the pure harmonies and […]
VIEW ON INSTAGRAM | VIEW ON FACEBOOK Since the 2017 release of his debut album, This One’s for You, Luke Combs has become one of country music’s fastest rising stars. In a sea of tight pants, trucks, and auto-tune, Combs has emerged from the pack as a true talent, known for relying on honest […]
In many ways, the title of Miranda Lambert’s new album, Wildcard, is appropriate. For one, it marks her first release on Vanner Records/RCA Records Nashville. She also co-wrote all of the collection’s fourteen songs, and parted ways with her longtime producer, Frank Liddell, in favor of working with Jay Joyce. Sonically, the album also delivers […]
