The hit song led to the 2015 ACM New Artist of the year breaking his own record of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck\Mediabase to top the chart with their first seven singles.

A song that shares the message of don’t wait to say I love you or it might be too late was the second single off of Swindell’s third studio album. This wasn’t the first time that Swindell, Brandon Kinney, and Michael Carter wrote a song together but it was their first number one.
