Kylie Morgan Drops Vulnerable New Track, “Break Things”

Kylie organ Break Things

Nashville newcomer, country-pop singer + songwriter Kylie Morgan has formally expressed in her newest anthemic single “Break Things” that hearts don’t break on their own and sometimes she is at fault. This follows the SMACKSongs’ artist’s last autobiographical release “Boys Girl” in 2019. Although this is one of her first mainstream releases, the female powerhouse is not new to Nashville.

The Newcastle, Oklahoma-native first debuted her song at the annual UMG luncheon and showcase during the 2020 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. “Break Things” is an open letter expressing that fragile things may not be safe in her care. Her vulnerability is soaking over a contravened instrumentation; a perfect harmony. She sings: “I tend to take it too far // So don’t hand me your heart because I break things”

Morgan shared on her Twitter, “Every line in this song is a piece of who I am. The good, the bad and clearly the breakable. Here is me being completely vulnerable and as honest as I can be. Hope you all love this song as much as I do! BREAK THINGS IS OUT NOW!”

Morgan will be heading to the UK to play London’s Bluebird Cafe, part of C2C Country to Country; Europe’s biggest country music festival where artists such as Kassi Ashton, Gabby Barrett, Tenille Arts are also playing.

The singer + songwriter is currently in the studio working on her debut album with producers and songwriters Shane McAnally and Ben Johnson.
