Earlier this morning, ABC’s Good Morning America went country with multi-platinum trio, Lady Antebellum taking over New York City’s Central Park to kick off the weekend with the “2019 Summer Concert Series.” The group, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood performed a 3 song set for those lucky enough to be in the crowd while fans at home were able to enjoy watching the live stream.
Before kicking off their performance, co-host Whit Johnson came to the stage to welcome the trio saying, “It’s time for the moment we all have been waiting for, Grammy-winning country group Lady Antebellum is here to perform their song, “You Look Good.” Starting the morning off right, the trio awakened the crowd getting everyone dancing and singing along to their first hit single off their seventh studio album Heart Break.
After performing their infectious first song of the morning, co-host Ginger Zee came to the stage to chat with the group saying, “Lady Antebellum is here with us this morning! Hillary, Charles, Dave we are so happy to have you and we are so happy that a new album is imminent.” Giving the audience exactly what they wanted to hear, Scott responded with a huge smile, “Yes, we are so so excited we have a new record coming in the fall!” As the conversation continued Zee mentioned that it’s been two years since the last album while bringing up why they have been so busy. The group then talked about their children, while footage showed up on the screen behind them showing all 6 of their adorable kids hanging out on the road with them, with Scott calling them an inspiration to the new material.
Once the quick interview was over, Lady Antebellum continued their set performing their brand new single off their soon to be released album, “What If I Never Get Over You.” Already a hit amongst the fans, everyone knew the song while they sang along with the powerhouse group, giving the audience watching a taste of what is to come. That wasn’t all, before performing their last song of the morning, co-hosts Zee and Johnson came back to the stage one last time to tell everyone, “You’ll have to look for their new album coming out soon, their Las Vegas residency at the Pearl Casino and one more performance with their big hit song “Bartender.” Getting the crowd pumped up, Lady Antebellum closed out their Good Morning America appearance with a bang, making everyone watching live and at home wanting more.
