If You Like Justin Bieber Then You’ll Love…

If you like Justin Bieber then you’ll love country artists, Sam Hunt, Russell Dickerson, and Kane Brown. Learn why, here!

We believe that everyone is a country music fan, they just might not know it yet! Unless you live under a rock, you are most likely a Justin Bieber fan.  With his killer voice, catchy tunes, and staying power in the mainstream music scene, everyone is a Bieber fan. If you love Bieber then you should definitely check out the country artists below too!

Sam Hunt:

Grammy-nominated recording artist, Sam Hunt is one of the most eclectic singer-songwriters in the country music genre. He infuses hip-hop, rhythms, and pop into his music, while still remaining true to story-telling lyrics. Like Bieber, Hunt’s phrasing is unique and catchy. Both artists deliver comparable sounds that are still distinctly their own.

To keep up with Sam Hunt, follow him on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook.

Russell Dickerson:

It is no secret that Russell is one of our all-time favorites, but that’s not why he makes the list. Dickerson is a future Entertainer of the Year, putting on an incredible live show, like Bieber. His pop-country sound, and his ability to sing pretty much everything, makes Dickerson easy to love cross-genre.

To keep up with Russell Dickerson follow him on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook.

Kane Brown:

Bonafide superstar, Kane Brown also transcends the country music genre. Like Bieber, he has a diehard fanbase and loves to collaborate with artists in different genres. Brown’s songs “Cool Again” and “One Thing Right” are sonically-pleasing, just like Bieber’s tunes. On the other hand, Brown’s honesty in “For My Daughter” matches Bieber’s vulnerability in songs like “Lonely” and “Anyone.”

To keep up with Kane Brown, follow him on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook.

Chris Young and Kane Brown Collaborate on “Famous Friends”

Chris Young released a new song today, November 20th, with fellow country star, Kane Brown titled “Famous Friends,” available to buy, stream or download now.

Country star Chris Young pays homage to the people of Rutherford, Hamilton, and Davidson County, Tennessee in his new song “Famous Friends” featuring his good friend, Kane Brown. Written by Young, Cary Barlowe, and Corey Crowder, this fun track shouts out specific individuals that may not be known to the general public, but are big names back in their hometowns. Young and Brown have collaborated in the past with the song “Setting the Night on Fire,” on the deluxe version of Kane Brown’s debut album. This is Young’s first new release since “If That Ain’t God” back in July.

I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of / But back in Rutherford County our crowd is second to none  / You might not know ‘em here in this big city we’re in  / But when I go back home I’ve got some famous friends

“This song is a piece of me, and it means a lot because it’s honest and it’s real-life,” Young shared in a recent press release. “Plus, Kane and I are good friends, and being able to have that history together, it adds a whole other level to the track. ‘Famous Friends’ is one of my favorite songs – it’s personal and it’s a lot of fun, so I’m glad it’s getting out there for people to hear it.”

Aside from this being their second song together, Young and Brown have an extensive history. Growing up, Brown was a huge fan of Young’s, winning his eleventh-grade talent show singing a rendition of Young’s hit song “Getting’ You Home.” His first live concert was seeing Young in support of Brad Paisley on his 2013 Beat This Summer Tour. The two later toured together on Young’s 2018 Losing Sleep Tour. Young performed “Drowning” at the 2019 CMT Artists of the Year special in honor of Brown’s drummer Kenny Dixon, who passed away in a car accident earlier that week. He recently won Performance of the Year at the 2020 CMT Awards for that performance.

Young has been slow to drop new music, with his last studio album being released back in October of 2017. However, we believe he is close to a new album, with “Famous Friends” being the fifth single he has put out since Losing Sleep. Others include “Drowning,” “If That Ain’t God,” “This Town Ain’t Big Enough” with Lauren Alaina, and his top-5 radio hit, “Raised on County.”

Chris Young Announces New Single “Famous Friends” Features Kane Brown

Famous Friends Chris Young and Kane Brown

Kicking off your week with a cool announcement, Chris Young shared this morning on social media that his next radio single will feature none other than superstar Kane Brown. Available this Friday, November 20th, it is the first taste of new music from the Grammy-nominated artist in a few months. Young dropped the news for the first time on “The Quad with Chris Young” podcast today.

“I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of But back in Rutherford County our crowd is second to none / You might not know ‘em here in this big city we’re in / But when I go back home I’ve got some famous friends”

The Best Deep Cuts from Kane Brown

Kane Brown is a bonafide superstar! He has accomplished the unprecedented, including being one of the first country artists to sell out the Staples Center in less than two hours, as well as, continues to break down genre barriers, proving his talent does not fit into a box. With two records and some collaborations under his belt, we decided to look back at some of our favorite deep cuts by the multi-platinum entertainer.

“Don’t Go City on Me” – Closer EP

“Don’t go city on me / Please girl keep it country / Life so different since you cross those tracks / Bring that pretty little accent back”

Back in 2015, this was one of the first songs we had heard by the promising young talent. Before his platinum-hits and his incredible fanbase, “Don’t Go City on Me” was a killer song by a new artist. The track showcases Brown’s vocals, country drawl, and songwriting skills all in just a few short minutes.

“It Ain’t You It’s Me” – Experiment

“But it ain’t you that’s been going through hell / It ain’t you with a heart for sale”

The heart-wrenching song off Brown’s sophomore record, Experiment, is a hidden jam. The song explores feelings associated with dealing with a break-up, truly focusing on the singer’s ability to emote and express vulnerability. The latter is something that we have come to love and appreciate from the innovative artist.

“Granddaddy’s Chair” – Kane Brown

“I may not be there now / But I hope one day I’ll be man enough to be sitting in my granddad’s chair”

“Granddaddy’s Chair” is one of Brown’s most personal songs to date. Talking about how he aspires to be the man his grandfather once was, just shows how important family and honest story-telling is to him. This song is one that any Brown fan know all the words to!

“My Where I Come From” – Experiment

“There’s a few more churches than there are bars / A hell of lot more trucks than there are cars”

Brown does not shy away from expressing his truth and his journey in his music. “My Where I Come From” is another example of that gift he chooses to share with the world. The singer is clearly indebted to his experiences and his Georgia-raising.

“Better Place” – Kane Brown

“Six feet below, you know / I’m gonna make your world a better place / Till we’re both in a better place”

A heartfelt love-song, Brown reminds us that his love for his wife is boundless. “Better Place” is another gem on his debut project. Interestingly enough, a lot of the things he promised in the song, still ring true today!

“For My Daughter” – Experiment (Extended)

“And not just say I love you, but show you what it means / Yeah, I grew up without a dad / I’m gonna be the best one I can be”

Our list would not be complete without this incredible cut, “For My Daughter.” An honest song that Brown wrote for his daughter Kingsley, the track embodies everything Kane is as an artist and as a person, honest, loyal, and fiercely himself.

How does our list match up to yours? Let us know and be sure to follow our ‘Deep Cuts’ playlist on Spotify. Check out more deep cuts from some of our favorite artists like Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, Brett Young, and Luke Combs here.

Kane Brown Set to Perform at Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show

Although Thanksgiving Day plans look a little different for most families this year, one thing will stay the same, the Dallas Cowboys will play their annual late-afternoon Thanksgiving Day home game at AT&T Stadium on November 26th, 2020.

Kane Brown

Kane Brown is set to play the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day 2020 game

Keeping up with tradition, the game will also include a special halftime performance show and kick off the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The funds raised through the iconic Red Kettles are at risk this year due to COVID-19 and requests for help are at an all-time high, making this year’s Red Kettle Kickoff more important than ever in providing shelter and meals for the homeless and hungry, Christmas toys for children and social service programs to millions of people in need year-round.

This year, Kane Brown will hold the honor as the halftime performer for the big game. “I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s Dallas Cowboys halftime show honoring The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign,” Brown said in a recent press release. “There were times growing up when my family did not have enough to eat or a roof over our head, and today, there are so many people in need. 2020 has been a hard year, but every small act of generosity helps. I am honored to have the opportunity to bring awareness to the ways people can help during this holiday season and beyond.”

Brown joins a long list of country music stars who have had the opportunity to play the special halftime show in the past including Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, and more.

Tune in to the game, vs. The Washington Football Team, on FOX on Thursday, November 26th, 2020 at 4:30PM ET.

RECAP: Kane Brown and Wife, Katelyn on ‘Get Organized’ with The Home Edit

Netflix’s brand new show ‘Get Organized’ with The Home Edit was officially released today. Focused around organizer-extraordinaires Clea Sherer and Joanna Teplin, the dynamic duo works to revamp and organize spaces in the homes of everyday people and celebrities, like Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn.

This specific episode showcases Shearer and Teplin stepping into the Brown’s gorgeous home tasked with making their pantry the best room in the house, and of course, baby-friendly to little Kingsley. It is an ultimate pantry makeover by the top organizers in the game, who just so happened to be Nashville-based.

Fans will learn pretty quickly that Katelyn is eager to be an organizer and a cook in the kitchen, so it’s clear that she is the perfect client for The Home Edit women. Although on the quiet side, Brown is always supportive of his wife, which comes across perfectly in this lighthearted and silly episode.

In the same episode, Shearer and Teplin also organize and design a special kid’s bedroom for a young child, Quinn, and his foster brother, Eli. The feel-good and special story is just as heartwarming as Brown’s pantry transformation.

NYCS First Impression: Kane Brown MixTape Vol. 1

Kane Brown Mixtape

Country superstar, Kane Brown dropped his highly anticipated Mix Tape Vol. 1 today (August 14). It contains seven tracks, all of which co-written by Brown, and includes singles “Cool Again” and “Be Like That” as well as three brand new songs. This is his first multi‐song project since his Platinum‐certified sophomore album, Experiment.

Cool Again,” his current single on country radio, was inspired by a chilly night on a songwriting retreat. The song was originally about missing warm weather, but Brown and his writing team–Josh Hodge, Lindsay Rimes, and Matt McGinn—turned into a song about a relationship that recently fell apart. The singer just wants him and his ex to be ‘cool again’ and get back to last summer when they were happy together. Brown released a remix to the song with Nelly last week. Watch the video below:

Be Like That,” his collaboration with Swae Lee and Khalid, is his current single to pop radio. Debuted back in February during his Worldwide Beautiful Tour but officially released on July 10th, this song is about someone contemplating whether or not they want to continue their relationship. The protagonist has a lot of negative things to say about this woman, but can’t understand why he’s not himself when she’s not around. “Be Like That” was the #1 most added song on top-40 radio the week after it was released on stations all across America, including New York’s own Z100.

Other previously released songs on this mixtape include “Worldwide Beautiful,” his song about acceptance and racial equality, and his collaboration with John Legend, “The Last Time I Say Sorry.” The latter, released on March 27th, is a love ballad in which the two display their vulnerability, regret, love, and compassion while, at the same time, showcase their strength and masculinity. The former of which was released ahead of schedule, as Brown used this song to express his thoughts on the aftermath of the death of George Floyd. He leaned heavily on his R&B influence for this track and all proceeds from the song are being funded to the Boys and Girls Club. He performed it at the BET Awards on June 28th. Watch it below:

“Didn’t Know What Love Was” sounds like nothing Brown has ever done before. With prevalent electric guitar, this track brings a 70s rock-sound to the EP. In the song, Brown states that he didn’t believe in love until he met this particular woman who changed his outlook on it. “Worship You” is another love song with a much different vibe. Brown blends a variety of string instruments with a backing bass beat, as the singer praises his significant other and describes her traits in religious terms; her kisses have a higher power, her body is divine and her smile makes him see the light. He teased this track on Instagram on May 15th. The video he posted features Brown and his wife, Katelyn dancing in the kitchen, singing to their daughter, Kingsley.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m a God-fearing Christian man / but if you were a religion then, damn / I don’t know what I’d do / I might have to worship you”

Just when you think Kane Brown is about to go fully pop, he drops a song like “BFE” to show he’s still country. BFE essentially means “middle of nowhere” (look up the actual definition on your own time) and this 90s country-sounding anthem praises the south and smalltown living. The fiddle and steel guitar on this track make it the perfect tailgate jam.

“I’m talkin’ Florida, ‘Bama, Georgia, Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas to Tennessee / So raise your beers, cheers, here’s to BFE”

Blending the genre line is what Kane Brown does best, and this mixtape is the epitome of that. Using his abundance of influences, he continues to showcase his creativity and shape the next generation of country music.

Kane Brown’s Mixtape Vol. 1 Track Listing:

  1. “Cool Again” (Kane Brown, Josh Hoge, Matt McGinn, Lindsay Rimes)
